Building Futures: 2025 CIEF DFW Trades Day

The OC was proud to host the 2025 CIEF DFW Trades Day, a dynamic event connecting education and industry through hands-on learning and real-world exploration.

Students in Forney ISD’s Construction and Manufacturing Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathways joined leaders from construction, trades and post-secondary programs for a full day of discovery, skill-building and inspiration. From operating tools and equipment to testing new building techniques, participants had the opportunity to experience what life in the trades truly looks like.

Events like Trades Day play a vital role in helping students connect classroom learning to career possibilities—encouraging them to imagine, explore and prepare for successful futures in high-demand industries.

The OC is proud to serve as a hub for experiences that empower the next generation of builders, makers and innovators.
