The OC Was Built for Students

Opportunity Central’s core purpose is to strengthen our students’ career and technology education programs (CTE). Through hands on, real world work experience, the students are able to gain true skills prior to graduation. More than just a classroom education, the OC allows our students the opportunity to build strong foundations in their chosen technical field. The following are the CTE programs housed at the OC:

Education & Training Electrical Technology  * Healthcare Diagnostics * Healthcare Therapeutic * Exercise Science & Wellness
Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security * Automotive Technology * Construction Management * Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) 

Forney ISD is also proud to offer CTE programs that are housed at Forney High School or North Forney High School. Students in these programs will also have opportunities to work with the partner businesses at the OC as well as work within the pre-existing businesses on the high school campuses such as The Local Cafe and Off the Leash. These programs are housed at either Forney High School or North Forney High School:

Animal Science * HVAC * Industrial Arts/Welding * Programming and IT Support * Culinary Arts
