Hollywood Glamour Hits the OC Runway
Move over, Met Gala—the spotlight officially shined at The OC’s first-ever Fashion Show! 👗✨
Inspired by the theme "Decades of Hollywood," talented Fashion Design students brought a stunning mix of classic glamour and modern edge to the runway. These designers spent months pouring their hearts into every stitch, and to say their creations were a showstopper would be an understatement.
What started as a class project turned into a massive event open to the public. Community members packed the seats at The View during two separate showings, even getting the chance to cast their votes for their favorite designs to elect the People’s Choice Award winner.
🎬 A Star-Studded Collaboration
While the gowns and garments were the stars of the show, this event was a massive collaborative effort. It took a village (or rather, an entire campus) of student-led crews to bring the Hollywood dream to Forney:
Commercial Photography: Captured exclusive pre-show shoots and acted as the "paparazzi," ensuring every moment was documented with style.
Event Planning: Meticulously designed the floor plans and curated the stunning décor that transformed our space.
Cosmetology: The "Glam Squad" worked their magic backstage, providing red-carpet-ready hair and makeup for every model.
Floral Design: Crafted beautiful, custom arrangements that were presented to the runway winners.
Hospitality & Graphic Design: Provided the professional touch before guests even arrived through custom-designed event flyers and detailed programs.
✨ A Night to Remember
One of the most inspiring parts of the evening was the diversity on the runway. While the creations were made by Fashion Design, the models actually represented programs across the entire campus, including Health Science, Criminal Justice, and more.
From the first stitch to the final walk, our students proved that they are ready for the big stage. Congratulations to all the designers, models, and student crews who made our first fashion show a legendary success!
