Now Hiring: A/V Expert at The OC

The OC is looking for a talented A/V Facilitator to coordinate technical operations for our rapidly growing calendar of events, productions and graduations. ⚙️ Primary Responsibilities
In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with the OC Events team and clients to handle everything from initial event design to the final strike.
Technical Coordination: Manage and execute the lighting, video, audio, rigging, staging and communication setups for all internal and external rentals. Coordinate maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and operation of lighting, video, audio, rigging, staging, and communications systems and equipment.
Crew Leadership: Supervise and mentor full- or part-time technical staff, student employees, interns and community volunteers.
System Management: Balance complex signal flows (including Dante audio networks) and program everything from LED screens and ribbon boards to exterior RGB lighting systems.
Safety & Maintenance: Implement preventative maintenance programs and enforce strict safety guidelines.
🎓 What We Are Looking For
To excel in this high-pressure, rewarding production environment, ideal candidates should meet the following criteria:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Theatre, Performing Arts, Performing Arts Management, or equivalent professional experience. (CAD experience and ETCP certifications are a major plus!)
Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in large-scale productions, with a background in a supervisory role preferred.
Skills: Expert-level knowledge of live entertainment infrastructure; problem solving mindset in a dynamic, high pressure, production environment; skills in assessing end user needs and dedication to meeting quality standards for service; excellent communication between all areas of production with The OC events staff, Forney ISD internal event hosts, customers, and the public; schedule, workflow, personnel, and budget management abilities; ability to read, draw and interpret site diagrams, location maps, lighting plots, etc; strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills; knowledge and troubleshooting of Dante audio networks and protocols.
Working Conditions: Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing vertical ladders, working at elevated heights, and managing a flexible schedule that includes late nights and off-peak event hours.
