OC Students Shine at Texas Health Hospital Forney Kickoff
The OC recently had the privilege of hosting the kickoff event for the new Texas Health Hospital Forney, and our students played a central role in making the day memorable. From hospitality to creative design and technical expertise, the event was a true showcase of how Forney ISD students are putting their learning into practice in meaningful ways.
🌿 Blooms at Forney ISD floral design students created the stunning greenery arrangements and succulent giveaways that greeted guests with fresh, personal touches.
🤝 OC Student Ambassadors welcomed community leaders and hospital representatives, ensuring everyone felt valued and at home.
📸 Meanwhile, commercial photography students were behind the lens, documenting the day’s most important moments with professionalism and skill.
Experiences like these are what make The OC unique—giving students opportunities to apply their talents beyond the classroom, develop professional skills and contribute directly to major community milestones.
The event also marked an exciting step for Forney: the start of construction on the city’s first full-service acute care hospital, set to open in 2027. Once complete, Texas Health Hospital Forney will include an emergency room, surgical suites, labor and delivery services, advanced imaging, and 64 beds with room to expand as the community grows.
As Forney celebrates this investment in healthcare, The OC is proud to celebrate the investment we’re making in our students—preparing them to lead, create, and thrive in the real world.
