Center Stage: Inside The OC Theatre
There is a distinct energy right before the house lights dim, the music swells and the curtains rise. At The OC, our state-of-the-art theatre has become the premier launchpad for incredible storytelling, bringing Broadway-level ambition right to the heart of Forney.
Our stage doesn't just host plays; it fosters a community of young actors and backstage crews who constantly push the boundaries of what student theatre can achieve. Looking back at our recent spring lineup, two examples perfectly highlight the magic happening under our roof:
🎩 Seussical Jr. (March 2026)
Oh, the thinks you can think when you witness pure imagination on stage! Earlier this spring, the students of The Academies at The OC Theatre transformed our space into the whimsical, colorful world of Dr. Seuss. From the vocal powerhouses on stage to the meticulous technical crew executing cues behind the curtains, every single student poured heart and energy into making this fantastical journey an unforgettable experience.
🗞️ Newsies Jr. (April 2026)
EXTRA! EXTRA! The Jackson Jaguar Theatre Company completely brought the historic streets of New York to life right here in Forney. This striking, high-energy production had audiences ready to "carry the banner" alongside an incredibly talented cast. Packing a powerful punch of heart, history, and spectacular choreography, these students delivered a performance that proved they are ready to take the theatrical world by storm.
