Multi-Use Community Learning Facility
Forney ISD is proud to announce a transformative expansion of its innovative and flexible learning spaces into a dynamic, multi-use facility designed to serve learners of all ages—from toddlers to senior adults—and redefine education, wellness, and community engagement in Forney.
Superintendent Dr. Justin Terry unveiled the plans in a video, emphasizing the district’s commitment to innovative education and lifelong learning. “Education doesn’t stop with our students,” said Dr. Terry. “It’s about creating opportunities for all learners, from 3 years to 103 years old, and building a community that grows together.”
The expansion stems from a collaborative effort involving over 100 Forney community members who gathered to shape the future of education. Their shared vision focused on hope, well-being, and engagement—values that are now being realized in this new facility.
Facilities will open in phases over the next two years, with full completion expected by Fall 2027.
It will include expanded aquatics for all ages with:
Learn-to-swim classes for young children,

Senior water aerobics, and
Enhanced training for Forney’s award-winning swim, dive, and water polo teams.
For the first time, Forney ISD high school golf teams, the new OC Golf Academy, and the community will have access to:
Dedicated driving range,
Pitch-and-putt course, and
Indoor golf simulators.
A new gymnastics space will provide:
Dedicated training areas for students to build strength, coordination, and confidence through movement and
Expanded competitive high school gymnastics.
A modern art studio will offer:

Creative workshops for students and community members.
A new kitchen and dining concept will foster shared experiences, while flexible spaces will be available for business, collaboration, and community engagement.
The secure second floor will feature flexible, innovative learning spaces modeled after The OC concept, supporting student education and collaboration in a modern, adaptable setting.
“This new facility is our way of saying: Forney ISD is here to innovate, to inspire, to connect, and to bring more opportunities to our students, families, and community,” said Dr. Terry. “Education isn’t just what happens in a classroom—it’s what happens in our lives, in our passions, in the moments we create together.”
Forney ISD invites the entire community to be part of this exciting journey toward a more engaged, inspired, and connected future with even more opportunities in the future.
