Students Master Historical Portraiture
Our Commercial Photography students wrapped up 2-days of thrilling and creative session in their Historical Portraits practicum class. And spoiler alert — they absolutely crushed it!
The atmosphere in the classroom-turned-studio was electric as students took the lead, diving into every aspect of the portrait-making process. This wasn't just about taking pictures; it was a full immersion into the art of historical representation.
👗 Wardrobe Styling: Students meticulously styled the wardrobe to bring the era to life.
💡 Lighting Design: They demonstrated their technical skills by setting up lighting schemes to achieve that perfect, authentic period mood.
🧑🎨 Directing and Capturing: Most importantly, they took the lead in snapping stunning portraits of their classmates, teachers and staff who stopped by to join the fun and witness creativity unfold.
It was an incredible opportunity for our students to showcase their skills, collaborate, and practice their craft in a real-world setting. Everyone who participated—whether in front of or behind the lens—helped create some truly timeless memories.
